LANZAROTE

Lanzarote the chicest of the Canary Islands, influenced by the far thinking Artist, Architect and Designer Cesar Manrique

Dramatic volcanic moonscapes form a backdrop for the sparkling white washed villages, surfing beaches, vineyards and the unique heritage of Manrique's museum and other wonderful creations.

Taster Tours

Jardin de Cactus in the north of the island is a maze of cacti which tower above the visitors and the black lava pathways. Cacti as you’ve never seen before. Jameos del Augua, an underground lava tube full of flora and fauna, cafe and concert hall. A truly unique experience. Mirador del Rio is a lookout cumcafe, hidden by laca rock and carved into the cliff with spectacular views. Mantanas del Fuego Timanfaya National Park, assessable only on the official bus but well worth the effort. You meander through the lava landscape, with its stunning and constantly changing vistas.

Time to Linger

Arrecife, the natural harbour and lagoon of El Charcoal is full of bobbing boats and restaurants. The vineyard, Bodegas Rubicon was founded on one of the worlds oldest white grape varieties, certainly worth a try. The snorting camels no longer transport salt, just tourists and bemused children, and the fun thing to do.
