New York - u.s.a

New York started as a trading post at the mouth of the Hudson river and has become a global, cosmopolitan, cultural, financial and media capital. Divided into five boroughs, it is a hive of activity with endless choices for your days of exploration. I have listed just a few of the options to get you started.

Taster Tours

The subway is a great way to travel round this big and busy city. For a first time visit and to get your bearings, why not try the hop on/ hop off buses. On offer, is an up town or down town tour, with a magical night tour which will also save those feet for street pounding tomorrow. The Circle line provides a range of harbour cruises, which provides a great view of the New York skyline and its various landmarks. For a different perspective, try the splendours of the night time cruise or the close up visit to The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Greenwich Village is a characterful area of brownstone buildings. Browse those vintage shops and then have a coffee, maybe in MacDougal St the place for foodies. At night it’s full of life with small theatres, laughter exuding from the comedy clubs and live music from the jazz clubs .....once the haunts of performers such as Bob Dylan and Jimmi Hendrix
